Mary went on to work at stations in Denver, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. The only other love that competed with the one for radio was an interest in aviation. As the daughter of an Air Force pilot she felt compelled to get her pilot’s license, and also spent time as a flight attendant. In the end it was her love of radio that won out. Moving from “in the air” to “on the air,” Mary is proud to call Portland home.
She likes to spend time with her husband and three children, and if things get too hectic she relaxes with a jog in her neighborhood, curls up with a good book, or plunks away at her old piano.
