Andy Waits - Bio

Hi, I’m Andy Waits. Yes, that’s my real name. Thanks for checking up on me!

I moved to the Portland area from Salt Lake, where I worked in country radio and did a local TV news/talk show. Before that we lived in the Los Angeles area where I did my show on about 100 stations coast-to-coast on the Westwood One Radio Network. I was also a weatherman for a local newscast on Time-Warner Cable in the L.A. area. My lovely wife Ruth and I have also lived in Bakersfield, Reno, Harrisburg (Pennsylvania), and in dusty West Texas where I took her as my bride in 1984.
 
We have three children (although they dislike being called “children”): Zoe (20), Zane (18), and Zina (17). Zoe is living on her own and sells vintage clothing and is an excellent photographer in Utah. Zane just graduated high school and is boot-camp bound for the United States Marine Corps. Zina is the only one who will be moving with us to Portland.
